The Fluids Specialties Group furthers RMC’s commitment and role to serve the oil and gas industry. Since 1988 Raw Materials Corporation (RMC) has been recognized as a leader in the sales, distribution, and service of specialty products for the oil and gas industry.
AKZO NOBEL Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC) Carboxymethylated
Cellulose (CMC). The PAC products are available in pure and tech grades.
These products come in a regular and low viscosity grade. The CMC products
are available only in a tech grade, with three viscosity materials: extra
high viscosity [EHV]; high viscosity [HV]; low viscosity [
AQUASOL Carboxymethylated starch [CM Starch] and pregelatinized drilling grade starch.
CARGILL INC. Xanthan gum
CORSICANA TECHNOLOGIES, INC. Oil mud emulsifiers, fatty amines and their derivatives for corrosion control.
EAGLE PICHER MINERALS Loss circulation plugs, anti caking agent, cements Natural, calcined and flux calcined diatomaceous earth
ELEMENTIS SPECIALTIES Bentonite and hectorite base organoclays. Rheological modifiers for oil and synthetic drilling muds, drill-in fluids, stimulation fluids, completion, packer and workover fluids. Special processed clays for water based systems. Polymeric modifiers for anti-settling and rheological control at various shear rates and temperatures. Amine-treated lignite for high temperature high pressure [HTHP] filtration control for oil based muds.
Sized calcium carbonate for completion and drill-in fluids.

The Fluids Specialties Group’s role within RMC is clearly stated in its mission statement: To expand and provide RMC’s customers with quality products for all fluids used in the exploration of oil and gas for improved fluid performance to aid in the reduction of overall well costs.

PROM CHEM Broad spectrum preservative based on 1,2 benzisothiazolin-3-one [BIT] used as a preservative for water based fluids and water miscible chemicals.
R & F INDUSTRIES Phenol-formaldehyde resin used for filtration control of water based muds at high temperatures and pressures. Amine base polymeric formulation for shale inhibition for water based muds.
SNF HOLDING COMPANY Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide [PHPA] for shale inhibition and solids control. Low molecular weight acrylic polymers and copolymer deflocculants for water based muds. These products function at high temperatures and are resistant to electrolytes. High molecular weight sodium polacrylates [SPA]
THE TRYLINE COMPANY Sized hydrocarbon resins for filtration control in Completion Fluids. Glass beads for water based systems.
OTHER SPECIALTY PRODUCTS Sulfonated asphalt [70% water soluble] borehole stabilizer and filtration control. Sulfomethylated tannin to control the rheology of water based muds. Micaceous acid soluble calcium carbonate bridging agent. |
